Popular online retail store has added Non-Fungible token to the list of products you can shop for on the platform now.
However, only certain users on the platform would be opened to shop and sell NFTs on eBay and not all users according to Reuters. The company, notes that in the future, policies around trading eBay would be reviewed to accommodate more people.
News about eBay and NFT is coming at a time when the firm’s CEO, Jamie Iannone said the company would be tapping into the NFT market.
He also said buyers and sellers would be able to deal with NFTs but only that they have not yet simplified the process. He revealed that they are also looking at making crypto payment options available for users.
eBay North America’s Vice President, Jordan Sweetnam also said they will add new capabilities that brings blockchain-driven collectibles to the platform.
The online market store has been talking about getting more involved in the crypto market space before now. The conversation has been on with executives of the firm for three years before now that they announce finally being a place to trade NFTs.

Cryptopolitan reported today that boxing champion, Floyd Mayweather is set to launch his own brand of digital collectibles. He marks as the third professional boxer to float his NFT in less than four weeks.
Similarly, the first set of footballers, Portugal interns, Eder and Jose Fonte launched their own NFT recently.
The NFT space has continued to receive more and more celebrities cut across the Music, Sports and entertainment industry.
eBay’s foray into the NFT sector is another indication of the growing e-commerce crypto and blockchain adoption. From PayPal to JD.com, online merchants are increasingly interfacing with the emerging tech.
